Still way behind...

But since this is what we've woken up to for the last couple of days, and I'm so not interested in going anywhere today, I thought I would post about a wonderful sunny weekend from July!

We headed out to Mum's place in Shell Lake for Hey Days weekend and had a great time.
We missed part of the parade, but Rowan loved seeing the horses.  Had a great visit with Sean and Wendy and family, with Mum and Matthew too.  One of the best parts was heading to to the beach!

This feels weird Mom!
Rowan went through a phase when she was tiny when she loved the water, then a phase where she hated the water: twice last Christmas when Gramma Lynne and Grampa Doug had the pool heated up we went over.  Gramma keeps the water nice and warm, but Rowan clung to either James or I the whole time and cried whenever we tried to float her or put her in her floaty boat.  The second time, she started crying when we went through the patio doors into the pool!  Didn't even bother going in the water that time.

Not on my back Mom!
That's okay, just don't let go
Now I'm swimming!
But this summer, she rediscovered her love for the water!  We headed to the lake for some fun and it was!  James forgot his swim trunks, so I was the only lucky one who got to play with Rowan in the water.  As you can see, she's not crazy about floating on her back, but loves to "swim" on her tummy, kicking her feet and splashing around with her arms.  Good times!
Ready?

Are you sure?

Up we go!
