Rowan's Grandparents are back! James' mom and her husband spend their winters in Mexico and his dad and his wife spend a good chunk of the winter traveling, and staying in their new condo in California. Yes, this gives us two great places to stay, but we haven't managed to get down to Palm Springs; yet!
First was a visit from Gramma Robin and Grandpa Henry. They got back from Mexico at the beginning of May and spent a week in the city to visit. We had tons of fun with them! They also brought Rowan some fun presents, to which she's obsessed with her new hat. They kept Rowan home from daycare one day to spend the day with her and they had a really good time with her. They went for walks, played lots and read books. They've headed up to Waskesui for the summer, but we can't wait until we see them again!
Good story Gramma! And yes, I do need to hold my shoe.

Showing off for Grandpa Henry & Gramma Robin
We've seen Gramma Lynne & Grandpa Doug a couple of times since they've been back from Palm Springs. The latest was when James and I drove an hour north of the city to pick up a half pork from the meatcutters. We realized that we didn't want to have her in the car for a couple of hours without any breaks, so spending some time with Gramma and Grandpa was a great thing for her to do for the morning. Rowan and Gramma planted in the garden, went for a walk and made an apple pie for Grandpa (his favorite desert).
Grilled cheese, tomato soup and pine cones. Good times!
Mmmm...homemade popsicles. Tasty!
And Gramma Lynne and Grandpa Doug brought back: an Angry Birds blanket! Fantastic! Lynne always finds the softest, fuzziest blankets and socks for Rowan. And Rowan loves them!
Rowan's vocabulary has been growing in leaps and bounds in the last little while, so she's also learned Grandma and Grandpa. Well, really, she says "Gamma" and "Guppy", but close enough for a 20 month old I think.
