Heading Out

The other day we took an extended trip out of the house with Rowan to introduce her to a few folks.

First we stopped by my office to introduce Rowan to the great people I work with, who all fawned over her. Also there was the daughter of my boss, Dean, who wanted to give Rowan a gift that she picked out all by herself. It was soooooo freaking cute!

Afterwords we walked a block over to the Radisson hotel to introduce Rowan to my former boss and mentor, Patty. I had actually been avoiding Patty for about 10 months so that Rowan would be a surprise to her, but someone spilled the beans!

Irregardless, Patty was thrilled and snatched up my little girl as fast as she could get her hands on the poop machine. Brief though it was, it was a great visit. I miss Patty, and since she's only a block away there's no excuse not to see her more, so I'm gonna make an effort to do just that.

In the end it was a fun little field trip for our little family. It's good for us to get into the rhythms and habits necessary to be mobile, we want our kid to be comfortable with people, and this is how it happens. Having said all that, Rowan was a dream to cart around - easy going and happy. 

Damn I love that kid!
