Out of Town!

Gramma cuddles are the best!

I decided that I needed to get out of this city for a day or two. So that's what we did last week.
Rowan and I drove up to Shell Lake to stay with Gramma Nora and had a great time! We got to visit with Sean, Wendy and their kids, Auntie Christine, Grandma Blanche and my boss from my first job. It was fun seeing everyone. We went for a walk to the barn with Chantelle and learned that I can't climb fences with the Baby Bjorn on. Don't worry, I didn't actually try. We met some new kitties and new dogs. Jean (my old boss) and Frank's dog REALLY wanted to get into the car seat with Rowan, but he's a little too big, so I think he got in one face lick before we shooed him away. I think he was happy with that!
Rowan picked up some new phrases from her cousin Gracie. After visiting at Sean and Wendy's, Rowan seemed to start stringing more sounds together, resulting in a very excited James coming to tell me, "She looked me straight in the eye and said, 'Da da da, ya ya ya'!" He was pretty pumped. Hopefully "Ma ma" will be next.
