Boobies for us please!I went to my first La Leche League meeting since November and I wish I hadn't waited so long!
Those ladies are so wonderful, the leaders and all the moms that attend, I missed them a lot. So much info, so many ideas, so much support! It's such a great group.
I'm wishing I would have contacted them when we first started having some nursing issues, I think we might not have gone through so much stress if we had.
The problem that I've found with going to a lot of the health care professionals out there is that they are usually looking for a problem. It's not that often that they just tell you (if that's the case) that what's going on is normal, not a problem and here's some tips to get past it, deal with it or whatever.
It's so nice to see baby's of all shapes and sizes too! Teeny-weeny's like Rowan, round chubsters and everything in between.
I'm planning on getting involved with the group since they helped me so much and I believe so wholeheartedly in breastfeeding. I've gone through some crazy lows, some wonderful highs and contemplated giving up once. One of the leaders helped me through that and Rowan and I have our fabulous nursing relationship back. I would have missed it so much if I had given up.
The biggest keys to breastfeeding (I think): Be stubborn! Want it! Do it! Get help if you need it!
It's the bast thing for baby and you get so much out of it, both physically and emotionally. It's totally worth it. I'm so glad I stuck with it and I plan to keep breastfeeding for as long as I can.
