And the new number is...

11lbs 4.5oz!
Almost a pound over a couple weeks!
She's finally starting to gain some weight!

6 month vaccinations were on Monday and the scale is finally going up! We have a doctor's appointment today, so I think my doc will confirm the gain. Whew! What a relief! Even though she's perfectly healthy, you still worry when you're 6&1/2 month old hasn't doubled her birth weight yet. But at least she's starting to gain now.
The health nurse (same one as last time, but much better attitude) was impressed with the variety of foods she's eating. I didn't think it was that many, but sometimes I get lazy with introducing new foods. You know, you get a bunch of stuff cooked for the baby and you think, "Well, we're good for at least a couple of weeks." Then life gets in the way and you don't have time to do anything new. We tried egg yolks for a couple of days, but I got my first sour "What's that icky stuff?" face. We'll try again later. They are farm eggs, so the yolk has a good strong flavor. Good for Mom and Dad, maybe not so much for baby. I think we'll try chicken as a new source of protein. I'll blend it up with some breast milk and fingers crossed.
Speaking of life getting in the way...Wrote my Cost Accounting final last night. 1 down, Stats to go! It's next week. It's a relief to have one exam off my plate. Rowan and I can do some playing together today. I still have to do a bit of studying, but it's not go-hard-or-go-home for today.
And on the "that sucks" side: Our Baby and Me Aquafit class got cancelled! I was really looking forward to that for both of us. We might do a swim lesson class, but I need to check out what some good times are for us. It's not good to mess with her nap schedule. She's a grouchy girl without her 2&1/2 hours in the morning and again in the afternoon. At least summer's almost here so we can go to the lake soon! Sun and eating sand! Let the good times roll!
