Mom Turns 32!

Snow peas: not quite what she thought they would be

It was my birthday yesterday, the second one in my life I didn't make a big deal out of! Funny how it's okay to have a mellow b-day when you're pregnant or have a baby... Anyway, we had a nice day, went for a walk to get coffee, played some video games, had an awesome dinner made by my favorite guy (that would be James), and watched a movie. Very mellow, very nice. Maybe next year we'll go all wild and crazy.

James put on the Baby Bjorn for a couple of walks on the weekend. It was his first time using it, so there's a bit of a learning curve when putting it on and adjusting it just so.
Step 1: Secure baby...Securely

Step 2: Flip down flap so baby can see

Step 3: Make sure baby's ears are covered

Step 4: Look awesome!

Awww! Aren't they adorable?! We just can't recommend the Baby Bjorn highly enough. They're pricey, so if you can, do what we did and borrow, or try to get one second hand. Rowan loves being in it. We always face her out (she needs sunglasses though), so she can see what's going on and she coos and blows bubbles, kicks her feet and flaps her arms. It's a really good time. Don't forget to get the one with back support though. Right now she's not quite 11lbs, so nice and light for the pack, but soon she'll be heavier and I've got enough back problems without adding baby-pack strain to them! Although, the heavier she gets, the better a work out walks will be...
