It can't be...
But I think...
It is!!!

But I think...
It is!!!
Her first tooth! How exciting! I know it's kinda hard to see in the pictures, but it's there! You can see it a bit better in the second picture. I discovered it a few days ago when we were eating breakfast. Rowan usually has oatmeal in the mornings for breakfast, and that morning as she was unhinging her jaw for me to shovel the food in (definitely my girl, she loves her food), I saw a little white sliver on her lower gums. At first I thought it was oatmeal and then I couldn't get a very good look at it and then I forgot about it. At some point later in the day I remembered and stuck my finger in there. Sure enough, it wasn't oatmeal! It was her very first tooth peaking out. It's not out much, but you can feel a little sharp edge. And she was so blase about it! She's a pretty mellow little girl for the most part. The only way we knew she was teething was from the manic gum-rubbing preceded by a sharp cry and a bit of fussing. I know, we're very lucky. Oh, and the drool. So much drool! Ice cold, gooey, sticky drool. Give me poop, give me spit up, give me diaper overflowing pee, but keep the teething drool! I don't know why it bothers me so much, but I find it so icky. It just sticks to everything just like snot. Yuck!
So we'll see if the little pattern she had for before this tooth popped out happens again and then I'll know when the next one is coming. Mostly I'll be looking for the buckets of drool that were happening in the few days before the tooth popped. I think I could have bathed the cat in the amount of drool coming out of that kid. Strange analogy you say? You don't know my cat. Most days, she deserves it.
And just 'cause they're so darn cute:
