Gramma Robin and Grampa Henry are back from Mexico for the summer! They arrived back on May 14th and will stay until October or so. They stayed in the city for almost a week before heading up to their campground at McPhee Lake.
One trip out we made was to go to the greenhouse so I could buy my bedding plants. Well, the greenhouse that I usually like to go to was closed, so we ended up out at the Berry Barn. It had been quite a few years since either Robin or I had been there, so we thought we'd have a little treat and then check out their greenhouse. I think it'll be quite a few years before either of us goes back again. Sigh. The service was terrible, the portions are small and expensive and we got charged $3.99 for a piece of dry toast for Rowan. $3.99 for dry toast! Outrageous! When I told the lady at the till how outrageous I thought it was, she said, "Oh, I'll let someone know", and charged us the full price anyway. Arg! That's when I don't miss working in restaurants. That and the 2 year old that puked at the table beside us. Ick.
We also had a BBQ with Uncle Mark, but forgot to get a picture of Rowan with Uncle Mark. Sorry! We all had a great time out on the deck and Rowan got to eat her very first meal outside. We all ate inside just because there's not enough room at our patio table for 5 people. Plus, I was too lazy to wipe down the table. But the food was just as tasty inside.
