She's on the Move!

My new toy!

I know that picture doesn't show her moving, but the Jumparoo was such a great buy (Kijiji, $70) and she loves it! Bouncing and laughing, it's a good place to be. And it's a cute picture.

Close the doors and Run Kitty Run! She's started to move! Not much, but enough that if you're not paying close attention, she'll have moved 6 inches without you even realizing it! It's a combination of bum scooting, pushing backwards with her hands and turning her legs.

She learned a while ago that she could lift up her legs, move them to the side and that would make her spin on her bum to face the other way, but now she's figured out that she can push herself backwards with her hands and a little help from her legs. We're not quite sure how she moves forward, I think it's scooting with her legs, but like her pooping face, we never manage to see it.

She also leans forward to grab things and has gotten into crawling position, but then her arms give out and she falls on her face. Unfortunately onto a toy quite often. And boy does she hate being on her face! For a while, she had forgotten how to roll herself over onto her back, but now that she's remembered, she doesn't stay on her face long. She's also learned how to roll from her back to her tummy, which means that sometimes she just rolls where she wants to go. And quite often, that's to the ethernet cable, 'cause it's pretty tasty. She'll be mobile in no time!
