Teething Begins in Earnest

Soon, very soon.

Our poor little girl. Teeth are on their way.
Rowan hasn't been napping very good lately and I think it's because of her teeth. We think she started the teething process a while ago, but now it's ramped up quite a bit. She'll suddenly stop nursing and start crying for no reason, she takes the soother out of her mouth to chew on the side of it and will, with amazing strength for a wee one, pull your finger to her mouth to chew on it. So I looked in her mouth one of the times she had a wide open scream going and yup, there it is. There's a white line under her gums on the top left side. I think it's her left incisor that's trying to make it's debut.
I know it'll probably be a while before it really pops out. I've heard that they can come down, go back, and repeat for a while before they pop out permanently and I feel so bad for her! In the meantime, she's in pain and there's not a lot I can do for her. It's such a helpless feeling! I've also heard that they no longer recommend using stuff like Ambesol on babies since they can swallow it and it's not good for them, but oh, it's tempting. No one likes to see their little one hurting. At least she's got enough coordination to hold the teething ring now. And get it to her face. That's the really important part.
Teeth come quickly!
